A Chattanooga television reporter covering the storms just said something about…
“a woman was crushed. Well, I shouldn’t say crushed. She didn’t have any life-threatening injuries.”
What exactly does crushed mean? Felt a little pressure? Popped like a tick? Trapped under a tree? Suffering a bad breakup with her boyfriend?
Seriously, think about your words before they come out of your mouth, especially if you’re a reporter and especially if you’re a TV reporter.
